Chapter 1: Vanilla Cupcakes from scratch 

Just call me Mr. Suzy Homemaker.

I recently had a customer give me this recipe and told me it made the most delicious cupcakes, so I had some time yesterday and decided to try it out.  Everything, including the buttercream frosting, was made from scratch.  You never realize how much sugar goes into stuff like this until you actually put it all in yourself!  Good thing though, is I know exactly the basic ingredients that went into it and it really wasn’t all that difficult - only a little messy.

This is my first attempt at baking anything from scratch and it actually went pretty well.  Overall, I’m proud of myself. And, some of my lucky co-workers might be able to taste this deliciousness if there are any left over when I go back to work on Wednesday.
